
Another scene peculiar to northern Pakistan (and perhaps India). What we see here is a popular summer tourist destination, what appears to be a river in the Swat valley. The locals have put charpoys in the middle of the rivulet, in order to enjoy the cool water as it passes below.
A charpoy is a traditional cot made out of twisted organic rope. Used extensively across the Indian subcontinent, charpoys have been put to increasingly versatile uses, as this picture aptly demonstrates.
We see a Pakistani girl emerging from the water, enjoying the environs to the fullest.
